Conditions at the dog pound:chudi bazar A visit to the dog pound can leave u with a extremely bitter experince which keeps lingering in your mind long after you leave that place. It was a horrible experience. The images of the suffering dogs keep moving before your eyes.Dogs suffering silently. The pain, the agony, the tearful questioning eyes start haunting you.they say mankind but how kind are we actually??The dog pound is an example of how evil man can be.humanity?compassion?love?mercy??Are they still existent in this world. They say a dog is a man's best friend, yes dog is a man's best friend, and yes truth is man can be the worst enemy for a dog.Its not man "can be" the worst enemy.Man "is" the worst enemy for dogs.Stray dogs are brought to the pound for vaccination and to perform the ABC,post operative care and subsequent release.Which is not the exact story here. The conditions at the dog pound are pathetic. The dogs are loaded into the cages in the trucks from...
In one of my visits to the dog pound,I found this light brown pomerian dog in the cage with a collar and obviously it had been somebody’s pet.The pomerian was put in a gunny bag and it was left at the entrance of the dog pound.when the bag was opened, there was this lovely cute light brown pomerian.i found her in the cage, one look at her and i knew she was not feeling well.on close examination ,there was this huge lump(a tumour)in her tummy.the dog had difficulty in breathing.the tumour was pressing against the lungs and that made the breathing difficult.the dog was suffering a lot and she was undergoing excruciating pain.it was very pathetic.the dog was silently looking and I could read from her eyes that she was searching for someone.probably the people who brought her up so lovingly, her friends and her home- the only people she knew, the only world she knew. She may never had the slightest idea that people can be so cruel and heartless. Her OWN PEOPLE and one lump in her tummy had turn...

Dog pound,Afsalgunj

I have been to the dog pound a couple of times and i have witnessed and actually felt the pain and agony of the suffering dogs. The conditions at the dog pound are very pathetic. The dogs suffer s ilently. The cages are always overcrowded and pups, pregnant dogs, whelping mothers and other dogs are dumped into cages and sometimes leading to the death of puppies and even dogs. The disabled, terminally ill and disabled dogs are not separated from other dogs.Sanitation is very poor and the cages are filled with faeces. There is this horrible smell. And the cages even contained dead pups and dogs. The partially degraded dead bodies of dogs and puppies remain in the cages along with the live ones.and we personally had to insist them to remove the dead bodies which they did reluctantly after a lot of nudging.Conditions are like a pregnant dog gave birth to puppies in a cage containing other dogs and a puppy was killed.Food provided is worst and the smell is unbearable.Actually there is no place for th...
